Dr Priya Vigneswaran

Dr Priya Vigneswaran

(BA, PGDip AppPsy, DClinPsy)

Priya is a highly-skilled clinical psychologist delivering
superior quality services with excellent outcomes for young people and families.

Qualifications
Priya obtained her doctoral training from the Royal Holloway, University of London. Her undergraduate degree in psychology was completed with first class honours in Australia.

Experience
Priya has worked in both the public and private sector with children of all ages for over 20 years. She is the founder of the South-East London Therapists Network for practitioners in private practice and she supervises junior colleagues, including our Assistant Psychologists.

Priya’s practice adheres to the ethics of the British Psychological Society.

Chartered member of the British Psychological Society. Registered with the Health Professions Council.

Member of the Association of Child and Adolescent Mental Health (ACAMH) and the Association of Child Psychologists in Private Practice (ACHIPP).

Maddie Rawlinson

Maddie Rawlinson

(MA(SocSci), MSc)
Maddie is an Assistant Psychologist with over 8 years’ experience working with children, young people, and families in clinical and community-based settings.

Qualifications
Maddie recently graduated from a Masters in Developmental and Educational Psychology at University College London (UCL) with distinction and her first-class bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology was obtained from The University of Glasgow.

She has completed training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as well as Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma Informed Practice.

Experience
Maddie has a great variety of experience supporting children and adults with their mental health and is also currently working as an NHS Assistant Psychologist for an inpatient service. Prior to joining Engage Therapy in January 2023, she worked within an adult crisis service in Glasgow and in services for vulnerable adolescents and at-risk families across Scotland. Maddie has vast experience of supporting both neurodiverse and neurotypical children and young people.

Maddie adheres to the ethics of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and works under the supervision of Dr Priya Vigneswaran.

Grace

Grace Conner

 (BSc, MSc)

Grace is a warm, empathic therapist with nearly ten years of experience of working with young people.

Qualifications
Grace studied her undergraduate in Psychology at Swansea University as well as her Masters in Clinical Psychology for which she obtained a Distinction. Research she conducted is currently being prepared for publication.

Experience
Grace developed an interest in working with young people after working as a Teaching Assistant in a Specialist Education setting. Since then, she has developed a drive to help young people reach their true potential and a strong professional interest in Clinical Psychology. Grace combines Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with Systemic practice to deliver tailored and effective interventions that engage young people. She is also a fully trained Volunteer Counsellor for Childline which she does alongside her role at Engage Therapy.

Susan Maloney

Susan has over 20 years’ experience in a range of operational support role and is
the key admin support for our team.

Experience
Susan has worked within the psychology and mental health sector since 2012, managing diagnostic assessment clinics and implementing clinic systems and processes within psychology practices across the UK.

She supports the smooth running of the practice and is the main point of contact for any new enquiries, bookings and queries.

Carmen Pop

Carmen Pop

 (counsellor TC-L4, CPCAB-L3, BEc)

Carmen is an experienced and skilled counsellor, having years of practice in counselling children and young people in the charity sector.

Qualifications
Carmen is currently in the last year of her studies aiming to obtain a Professional Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, accredited by the NCPS and Prince’s Trust, London.

Experience
Carmen has more than 10 years’ experience practicing counselling skills to support children and young people facing many challenges, including mental health difficulties. Alongside her role at Engage Therapy, she has worked in the charity sector as a paid counsellor at NSPCC Childline.

Carmen’s practice adheres to the ethics of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and works under the supervision of Dr. Priya Vigneswaran. .

Karen Orlebar

Karen Orlebar

(MBACP Counsellor/Physiotherapist & Clinical Supervisor Dip.Couns. Dip Sup)

Karen is a child psychotherapist with over 10 years’ experience working therapeutically in private practice and education.

Qualifications
Karen holds a postgraduate diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling.

Experience
Karen’s experience includes working as therapist in community-based counselling services and GP surgeries. She is also a highly experienced primary and secondary school counsellor working for over 10 years with a leading children’s mental health charity providing whole school community mental health support.

She works collaboratively with parents and carers creating an opportunity to think together about the themes of the therapy and how best a child or young person can be supported.

Karen is a fully registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) abiding by a strict code of ethics and professional practice.

Aariya Rae

(DClinPsych)

Aariya is a highly skilled clinical psychologist specialised who draws on evidence based methods to ensure the best outcomes for families.

Qualifications
Aariya obtained her Doctoral training at Canterbury Christ Church University (Salomons) in 2009.

Experience

Aariya has worked with children and families in different settings for over 15 years including ten years as a Psychologist in the NHS where she specialised in supporting children, young people and families to navigate trauma, complex family dynamics and relationships. She draws on dynamic interpersonal therapy, positive parenting, compassion focused therapy and internal family systems and currently offers sessions exclusively online.

Aariya’s expertise are in family work and supporting parenting high sensitivity and high energy children. She takes a holistic and intuitive approach, helping parents tune into their inner guidance, build upon their strengths and communicate with their child in a way that connects with their child’s unique needs and developmental stage.
